About Dionne

Dionne is an emerging screenwriter and producer with homes in Houston, TX, and Chicago, IL.  Born in Denver, Colorado, Dionne spent over 20 years working in local politics and the federal government, developing intricate outreach plans for the Department of Commerce and persuading people to act.  From decades of working in diverse communities, Dionne developed a fascination with community ethics, values, and the psychology of the formative years.  She has written several screenplays, including Blue Blanket, Toxic, and Useful (Used∙Fool).  Her goal is to see them greenlit for television or streaming.  Dionne has received several recognitions for her work, including the Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards, Big Break, Filmmatic Drama Screenplay Awards, Diverse Voices, Big Apple Film Festival Screenplay Competition, and the Inroads Fellowship.

Holding a Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law (1999), she works as an attorney, content creator, and executive of 1919 Media, a production company founded to promote her original screenplays.

Dionne is known for her passion, support of others, and devotion to her daughter, Noella, and husband, Gabriel Emegha.
